In order to sail, a guest must meet the requirements of ONE of the check boxes below.

  • U.S. Birth Certificate AND Valid Government Issued ID (State ID Card, Driver’s License OR Military ID) - Can be used if traveling to Canada by ground/car or by sea
    • Original U.S. State Certified Birth Certificate or a certified copy; or an original Consular Birth Abroad Certificate from the U.S. State Department.
    • Read more about birth certificate requirements.
    • Guests age 15 and under are NOT required to have a photo ID, just the birth certificate.
  • Permanent Resident Card (Alien Resident Card "ARC" OR Green Card) AND Valid Passport from Country of Citizenship - If traveling to Canada by air, ground/car or by sea
    • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after your cruise ends.

    • Guests age 16 and older whose ARC has no photo must present a valid government issued photo ID.
    • Any additional requirements are the responsibility of the guest.
  • Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL) that is not expired - Can be used if traveling to Canada by ground/car or by sea
    • Enhanced Driver's Licenses are only available from the following states: Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont and Washington State.
    • An Enhanced Driver’s License is different from a REAL ID compliant id. An EDL will have a flag on the front.

Travel documentation advisment is subject to government regulation and is, therefore, continuously updated. It is the responsibility of each guest to understand what documents are required in each port of their itinerary.

For itineraries in Bali, India, South Korea, Thailand and other Asian countries, we also advise that guests bring printed copies of their documentation, as port authorities may ask for copies.

Bring your passport, 8 printed copies of the ID page and a saved photo to your phone.

Guests with certain visas/visa waivers may need 2 blank pages in their passport. Check here: https://visacentral.com/visas

    • Indian Visa – Bring printed and digital proof of eVisa, available for purchase here for most nations, including Canada as of November 22nd.
    • Sri Lankan Visa – Bring printed and digital proof of Sri Lankan Transit Visa which is available at no charge here. Even if you don’t plan to go ashore in Sri Lanka, you will need a Transit Visa for this sailing.
    • Thailand Tourist Visa -- U.S. and Canadian passport holders do not need a Tourist Visa. Guests of other nationalities can discover what they need here.
    • Please note: If you are eligible for a Visa-On-Arrival (VOA), our crew can help you apply onboard for a $85 USD per person fee, which will be charged to your SeaPass account (subject to conversion rates). Please note: Myanmar nationals will not be eligible for Thailand Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) and will need to acquire a Visa pre-cruise.
